February 1, 2022 – Richmond, BC
Hemlock Harling Distribution Inc., a market leader in data-driven mail, fulfillment and distribution services, today announced the acquisition of Datex Services Ltd. of Richmond BC. Datex was founded in 1969 and has served the BC marketplace with a full suite of mailing services for over 50 years. Their success and longevity reflect a long-standing commitment to customer service and technical expertise in data and direct mail. Stormer Yttri, President at Datex, Perry Jongsma, VP Operations and Adrian Bartel, Data Technician, will be joining the Hemlock Harling team to support and expand their roster of satisfied customers.
A key aspect of the acquisition will be Hemlock Harling’s transition of its print and mail services from its current location to the nearby Datex mailing facility. Following facility renovations, the move is expected to be completed by Spring/Summer 2022. This 10,000 square foot facility will support data management, digital printing, inkjetting, inserting, polybagging and other core mailing services. The move will also enable Hemlock Harling to dedicate its primary 40,000 square foot location to a rapidly growing eCommerce fulfillment, pick and pack and publication distribution service offering.
“As we announce this very important development for Hemlock Harling, we are also celebrating a significant milestone—the 5th anniversary of our business” states Hemlock Harling President, Richard Kouwenhoven. “It’s perfect timing and there is no doubt the decades of experience and strong relationships developed by the Datex team will be an integral part of Hemlock Harling’s success in the years to come.”
Hemlock Harling General Manager, Paul Mackie adds, “We are excited to have Stormer, Perry and Adrian join the team. They bring a wealth of data and mail experience which will help us continue to develop this core aspect of our business.”
Stormer Yttri, who will transition into a new role as Account Manager at Hemlock Harling, comments, “We are all very excited about joining the Hemlock Harling team and introducing our customers to an expanded range of services including print, distribution and fulfillment. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work very closely with Hemlock Printers and have been so impressed with their focus on bringing excellence to every aspect of their business. We look forward to blending our skills and expertise in mailing services and working with the incredible team at Hemlock Harling.”
