Andrew is an experienced IT Manager with a strong background in the manufacturing industry, joining Hemlock in 2021. Andrew’s primary areas of expertise lie in managing the development of in-house software tools, overseeing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, integrating IT infrastructure projects, and implementing off-the-shelf software solutions.

In 2008, Andrew obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Realizing the importance of a holistic business perspective, he further pursued his education and earned an MBA from The Beedie School of Business at SFU in 2016.

Combining his technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and strong leadership abilities, Andrew is committed to aligning IT initiatives with the company’s overall goals and objectives. With a forward-thinking approach and a keen eye for emerging technologies, he constantly seeks to optimize processes, improve productivity, and enhance the overall IT infrastructure.

Daren began his career at Hemlock Printers in 1984, graduating from the Financial Management Program at BCIT in 1992. Over the past 34 years, he has served in various management roles within the company, covering all aspects of Manufacturing and Operations. Daren is currently the VP Manufacturing, where his vast knowledge and extensive experience in all aspects of print not only makes him a valued member of the Leadership Team, but a leader and mentor to staff and colleagues.

Decia joined Hemlock in 2024 and brings a wealth of experience in marketing communications and branding. She spent a decade of her early career working in account management with some of Metro Vancouver’s leading creative agencies, making her proficient in print communications. During the peak of Vancouver’s original tech boom, Decia worked at Creo Products, the innovators that introduced computer-to-plate technology for the printing industry.

Decia discovered her passion for purpose while leading and growing another Burnaby-based manufacturer, Robeez Footwear. She contributed significantly to Robeez’s local success and helped it grow into a worldwide brand leader. Her work even earned the Entrepreneur of the Decade recognition for Robeez’s founder. At Robeez, Decia integrated the company’s culture with purpose and community, resulting in dedicated and passionate brand ambassadors. Decia is thrilled to continue and deepen Hemlock’s social purpose work as the world moves towards a purpose economy and circularity.

With almost three decades of sales management experience in manufacturing, publishing and printing, Doug joined Hemlock in 2010, and leads Hemlock’s Canadian sales and support teams, as well as the many marketing initiatives for the company. He is active in developing and implementing innovative, client-focused solutions for our established and rapidly growing base of new and valued clients.

Eric joined Hemlock in 2001 as a sales representative serving the Canadian market, rapidly developing new clients for Hemlock in many different categories including publications, catalogs, and marketing material for companies of all varieties for over 16 years. In 2017, he began to strategically develop new business in the US market and assist with Hemlock’s considerable growth south of the border.

Following several years of experience selling and gaining insights into the US market, he was appointed Sales Manager of our Seattle office in 2019. By 2021, Eric further elevated his responsibilities to his present role of Director of Sales USA, helping to bolster and support both the Seattle sales team and Hemlock’s Bay Area team in California.

With a clear ability to develop team synergy and a passion for print, Eric continues to set his sights on new goals and deliver innovative print solutions to our many customers.

After obtaining his BBA from SFU, Mark spent close to a decade working as an accountant in public practice.  Mark’s focus was on providing financial reporting and tax compliance services to small and medium sized private companies, primarily in the manufacturing and construction industries.  Mark joined Hemlock in 2018 as Controller before transitioning into his current role, VP of Finance. Mark oversees the Accounting and IT teams at Hemlock while being active in Hemlock’s pursuit of continuous process improvement, financial, operational and otherwise.

Before becoming VP of eCommerce at Hemlock, Katz was CEO of Paper Chase Press, a second-generation family-run press and bindery based in Los Angeles since 1976. While at P.C.P. Katz and her partner Kane Austin grew the business from a trusted industry resource to a compelling consumer-facing eCommerce brand. After 15 years of leadership, P.C.P. was acquired by Hemlock. In addition to P.C.P., Katz with partner Mathew Swenson co-founded Intelligence LA, a network of vetted freelance creatives available for hire. Katz received her B.F.A. in Photography from Bard College.

Serving as Hemlock’s President since 2012 and Chief Executive Officer since 2021, Richard oversees the strategic direction and growth of Hemlock and its subsidiary organizations.

Obtaining his Bachelor of Technology Degree from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Communication Management program in 1996, Richard has 30+ years of hands-on print industry experience in a number of roles, from production to department leadership and, for the past 15 years, as a Senior Executive within the organization.

A second-generation family member in the business, Richard is guided by the values and principles that are the foundation of Hemlock’s early success. This means supporting the success of Hemlock Staff and Customers alike, applying continuous innovation throughout the business, and more broadly, demonstrating that business can be a meaningful force for positive change in society.

Stan began his career in the printing industry in 1985 and with training in the VVI Graphic Arts program, worked in prepress production for several years before transitioning to supervisory and management roles. In 2006, Stan joined Hemlock and held various roles in technical planning and estimating. Stan has also led the transition to a new ERP platform at both Hemlock Printers and PrismTech Graphics. As Vice President, Operations, Stan oversees the Customer Service team at Hemlock including estimating, litho planning and digital planning.

After earning a business diploma and a BTech in Graphic Communications Management, Stephanie dedicated seven years as an account manager before transitioning to Hemlock’s leadership team in 2022. As Director, Enterprise Solutions, she enhances both internal and external processes, optimizing workflows and customer interactions via online storefronts, dashboards, and tailored solutions, while also supporting the Customer Care team and collaborating with IT, Operations, and Sales departments.

Stephanie is now advancing her education by pursuing an MBA in Sustainable Innovation at the University of Victoria, anticipating graduation in 2024.

With roots in the print industry, Vanessa started her career at Hemlock in the 80’s and brings with her a unique understanding of the culture and HR needs at Hemlock.

Starting as a part-time bindery assistant, Vanessa gained experience in many areas at Hemlock—Production, Accounting, Customer Service, Estimating and Planning—and in 2017, Vanessa accepted the position Payroll and Benefits Administrator. It was this position where she started to take on more HR responsibilities, eventually becoming the HR and Payroll Administrator. and in 2022, she joined the Leadership Team as Manager, Human Resources. With this move to Payroll and Human Resources, Vanessa has completed the Canadian PCP Program and earned her HR Management Certificate from BCIT.
