Off Cuts for Charity
Off Cuts for Charity (OC4C) is an initiative developed by Hemlock
that utilizes unused space on existing print runs for the benefit of
local charitable organizations. Charities in the areas of children,
public health and the environment are the focus of this program.
Interested parties are required to submit an application
for approval by an internal committee at Hemlock. Qualified
organizations are then able to choose from a range of size formats,
which are printed 4-colour process 1 side. Please note that all orders
are subject to an administration fee of $95.
For more information on the OC4C program, please contact your graphic designer or your Hemlock sales representative.
Over the past 5 years, Hemlock helped over 75 charitable organizations
by printing over 350,000 pieces of promotional materials. Some of the
organizations that Hemlock has helped include:
- BC Special Olympics
- SPCA
- Canadian Red Cross
- Kids Help Phone
- Burnaby Christmas Bureau
- BC Cancer Society
- Big Brothers and Big Sisters
- YMCA and YWCA
Hemlock was recognized with an award for Community Involvement in the 2006 Environmental Printing Awards for this innovative program.
