Burnaby Christmas Bureau

In 2000, a group of Hemlock employees formed a committee to raise finds for the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Since inception, this employee-driven initiative has raised over $62,000.

The Burnaby Christmas Bureau ensures that financially disadvantaged families will not go without food, and children will not go without toys during the holiday season. Hemlock’s committee plans a variety of events to raise funds in support of the Bureau, including 50/50 draws, bake sales, a silent auction and a coin drive. Hemlock employees voluntarily participate in these events and was able to raise $6,213.00 in 2010 to help brighten the holiday season for over 1,400 Burnaby families who counted on the Christmas Bureau this past year.
